What changes on a 4x4
- Load rating: set against your gross axle weight, not a car standard
- Centre bore: machined to the hub, from 63.4mm on a Velar to 84.1mm on a G-Class
- Offset: worked against tyre width, arch clearance and steering lock
- Construction: monoblock, two piece or three piece depending on width and use
No adapters. No spacers. No compromises off road
PB Forged started because of a simple frustration. Walk into a wheel shop, find a design you love, and find out it was never made for your car. The usual fix is a spacer or an adapter, which is a compromise on the part that holds your car to the road.
We do it the other way round. 4x4 fitment is where the shortcuts hurt most. A Defender and a Velar are both Land Rovers and share nothing, 5x120 on 72.6mm against 5x108 on 63.4mm. A G-Class runs an 84.1mm bore. Spacers on a vehicle that works hard are not a fix. We cut to the hub.
