The Nissan GTR R35 is a car that earns respect on engineering alone, and it's one we're glad to have in the gallery. It's our credential in the JDM world, a place a lot of European wheel brands never go.

UK buyers tend to search simply for R35 wheels as often as the full Nissan GTR R35 name, either way, the GTR's weight and the Brembo brake package mean the wheel has to be properly engineered, not just styled.

Will they fit your Nissan GTR R35?

The GT-R is assumed to be centre lock more often than almost any car we build for, and it is not. It also uses a thread pitch that very little else does. Every PB Forged set is made to order, hardware included.

Fitment. 5x114.3 studs on a 66.1mm centre bore, M12x1.25 nuts. Factory sizing is 20x9.5J ET45 front and 20x10.5J ET25 rear.

Why 20 inch stays. The brake package and the run-flat tyre sizing both assume 20 inch, so this is one of the few cars where going up or down a size creates more problems than it solves. The design work happens in width, offset and construction rather than diameter.

The trap. Twenty millimetres of offset difference between front and rear means a square set is never right. And M12x1.25 is an unusual pitch, so a set shipped with the M12x1.5 or M14x1.5 nuts common on 5x114.3 wheels cannot be torqued safely. We supply the correct hardware.

Is the GT-R centre lock?

No, and it is assumed to be more often than almost any car we build for. The R35 runs 5x114.3 studs on a 66.1mm centre bore with M12x1.25 nuts. If you have been quoted a centre lock conversion for a GT-R, that is a bespoke hub change rather than a wheel fitment, and it is not something the car needs.

Can I run a square set on an R35?

Not without a compromise. The factory fitment is 20x9.5J at ET45 front and 20x10.5J at ET25 rear, which is 20mm of offset and 1J of width between the axles. A square set either sits too far in at the rear or too far out at the front, and the usual fix is a spacer on one end of a car making significant power. We build front and rear separately.

My wheels came with the wrong nuts. What thread does the GT-R use?

M12x1.25, which is unusual. Most 5x114.3 wheels are sold with M12x1.5 or M14x1.5 hardware for Japanese and American applications, and neither will torque safely into an R35 hub. Hardware is specified as part of the build rather than left for you to source separately.

Should I stay on 20 inch?

Almost certainly yes. The brake package and the factory tyre sizing both assume 20 inch, so moving up or down creates more problems than it solves on this car. The design work on a GT-R happens in width, offset and construction rather than diameter, and that is where the weight saving comes from too.

Will these clear the R35 GTR Brembo brake setup?

Yes, the R35 Brembo brake package is one we engineer for as standard. If you're running an aftermarket brake upgrade (StopTech, AP Racing, Endless), send the spec at consultation and we'll re-validate clearance before forging.

How long is the lead time?

Our wheels are made to order, with a typical lead time of 6 to 8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery. Each set is forged, finished and inspected specifically for your car. If you have a fixed deadline, tell us at consultation and we'll confirm whether the window can compress.
