Honda Civic Type R Forged Wheels

The Honda Civic Type R is the front-drive hot hatch most enthusiasts now consider the benchmark, and the forged-wheel brief reflects that. The Type R community is engaged, technical, and knows what a properly engineered wheel is worth, both for weight and for fitment.

We build for the current FL5, the previous FK8 and the FK2 as a heritage commission. Most of what we take on is clean, lightweight monoblock construction designed to lower unsprung mass against the OEM option, with the FL5 in particular benefiting from a thoughtful spec.

Every set is engineered in the UK and made to order, forged, finished and inspected for your specific Type R. Tell us the generation and the direction you want and we'll work from there.

How much weight saving can you achieve versus the OEM Type R wheel?
The OEM FL5 wheel is around 11.5 kg, the FK8 slightly heavier. A properly forged monoblock typically lands at 8 to 9 kg, a 2 to 3 kg saving per corner that materially improves the car's response.
Will these clear the Type R Brembo brake package?
Yes. The FL5 and FK8 Brembo setups are engineered for as standard, with clearance validated against your exact configuration. Big-brake upgrades, send the spec and we'll re-validate before forging.
How long is the lead time?
Our wheels are made to order, with a typical lead time of 6 to 8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery.
